Dinner is made for our guests and a fortunate few visitors to savour in their own secluded corner.

It’s an invitation to a rare world, over a century in the making. Discover a seasonal four-course chef’s menu, imagined anew each night. Enjoy the Estate’s vast bounty – its Potager Gardens and Orchards, Mushroom House and Paddocks – prepared with expertise and plated with elegance.

Dinner for resident guests

Every overnight guest at Otahuna is warmly welcomed to Dinner. It's the finest of fine dining, matched with premium New Zealand wines and privately enjoyed in your choice of enclave. Dine fireside or in the Wine Cellar, in the Library or tucked into the Turret. When Otahuna is home for the night, the choice is yours alone.

Dinner for outside visitors

Once exclusively the reserve of overnight guests, Otahuna now offers private dining for non-resident patrons. With only a handful of tables ever available, Dinner at Otahuna is Canterbury’s most coveted reservation. And while the opportunity may be as rare as it is remarkable, we’re delighted to share it with our local audiences.

Guests joining us in the summer months are welcome to arrive from 5:30PM to undertake a self-guided tour of our celebrated, historic gardens.

Pre-dinner drinks service starts at 6:30PM. Guests can expect to be seated at their table between 7:15PM and 7:30PM.

With only a limited number of tables available, Dinner at Otahuna is an experience reserved for a select few. A private table can be requested for groups of 2-14, no more than 30 days in advance.
