While our Daffodil Day Garden Tours were cancelled due to inclement weather conditions, we are delighted to announce we are accepting reservations for a postponement date on 20 September.
Three guided tours benefitting The Cancer Society will be offered at 10AM, 12:30PM and 3PM. Each tour will last approximately 90 minutes, taking in the property's 30 acres of historic gardens.
The tour will include a brief discussion of the history of Heaton Rhodes and his estate at Otahuna alongside visits to many different restored and new areas of the garden. In addition to the Daffodil Field, the tour will also take in the Great Lawn, The Hornbeam Lawn, the formal Dutch Garden, Orchard and the vast Potager Garden from which we source more than 120 varieties of fruits and vegetables annually. All tours will be conducted by Otahuna Head Gardener Steve Marcham or Owner Miles Refo.
Admission is $30 for adults and $5 for children aged 5-12 with all proceeds donated to The Cancer Society.
Space is limited to 70 places per tour with advance reservation required. Tickets are payable on the day only by cash. Eftpos and credit facilities will not be available. Please note that admission to the homestead building is not included.
We look forward to welcoming you to Otahuna's extraordinary gardens and helping to raise funds for The Cancer Society.
