Jane, one of the world’s most recognisable women in wine, put Sauvignon Blanc squarely on the global map in the 1980s. Since, she has grown Hunter’s Wines to the forefront of New Zealand winemaking with outstanding sparkling wines and other unique varietals that express the diversity of terroir in the Marlborough region.

On the night we will be taking house party fun to new heights as the culinary journey begins with a glass (or two!) of Hunter’s MiruMiru™ Methode Traditionelle with canapes in the Lodge Drawing Room. Afterwards, guests will adjourn to Otahuna’s original Dining Room for a sumptuous four-course dinner hosted personally by Jane and curated by Executive Chef Jimmy McIntyre. The dinner will be matched with a “tasting tour” of some of Hunter’s most unique vintages.

Along with her nephew and Senior Winemaker James Macdonald, Jane will regale guests with the behind-the-scenes stories of life running one of Marlborough’s last remaining family vineyards. And, with the event limited only to 14 guests, the evening is sure to be as exclusive as it is memorable.

Following an indulgent night in one of Otahuna's seven exquisite suites, a decadent breakfast awaits. Guests may either enjoy a leisurely morning or set off on a "gumboot garden tour" with Head Gardener Steve Marcham, who will tour the grounds with guests and explain the restoration of the grounds he has overseen for the past 20 years.
